Problem

Amcom Communications opened their doors as a traditional telephone service company. After a year and a half in the market they recognized the tremendous value they could offer to their niche ethnic markets by offering VoIP services and chose the name Vontastic for this new venture. The cost benefits to a client base spending the bulk of their monthly bills on international long distance seemed obvious. After months of shopping around for all-in-wonder boxed or hosted solutions Amcom came to Innovaworks for help in that endeavor.

The Back Office Solution

Due to the widely distributed geographic nature of Amcom's operations, Innovaworks chose the ASP.NET platform. With sales offices in China, New Jersey and Canada, customer service in Utah, corporate headquarters and operations in Southern California a web based OSS provided the perfect solution. This system ties together the daily operations of the company, from sales and shipping to billing and account management, with its technological backbone: the switch.

The Switch Solution

Leveraging the wealth of open source tools and technologies available for VoIP Innovaworks created a full featured SIP switching solution, inclusive of SIP proxies, session border control, and call record management. All class five features are supported and the architecture supports redundant switch sites with call routing rules specific to the geographic area of the sites and global presence to insure that inbound calls can always find online users.
